curry puffs

I made these today and they are the most delicious things i have tasted in ages, infact you lucky readers im giving you the recipe.

2tbsp oil

2 onions finely chopped

1tbsp grated fresh ginger

250g minced beef

1 tbsp curry powder

2tbsp soy sauce

200ml water

1/2 tsp sugar

1tsp salt

250g cooked potatoes, diced

100g cooked peas

500g puff pastry

1 egg, beaten

 

oven 200c/390f/gas6

heat oil in a wok or frying pan, add onion's and fry until they start to soften, add ginger and beef and fry until browned. add curry powder, soy sauce, water, sugar, salt, potatoes, and peas. cook for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, reducing liquid until mixture is moist but not sloppy. leave to cool.

roll out pastry and cut out 10cm rounds or what ever size you want. place a little of mixture in centre of each round and then fold over to make half a circle.brush with beaten egg.bake for 20mins.
